Absolutely not! If manufacturers adopted standardized measurements for each size, there would be thousands of women who would suddenly be unable to find ANYTHING to fit them! All women are not created equal. Proportions vary in length as well as width. Some manufacturers cut to a contemporary missy fit, others to a true, larger missy fit, others somewhere in between. It would be an economic nightmare for manufacturers as well as retailers.
