If the Ron Paul minions were actually informed as to the financial melt down, then they would have voted for Romney with a JD/MBA who has the know-how to turn this economy around. I bet these are the same folks that voted for Perot in '92 and cost Bush Sr. the election. Way to go guys!! We got Clinton for 8 years. Lets unite behind a true leader that is capable.

Ron Paul SAID the economic collapse was coming, and outlined how to avoid it. McRomney and pals were all in DENIAL. Look at all the broke MBAs in the wake of the recent stock market debacle. Who wants those guys as President?

These predictions may seem obvious today but they COULD'VE BEEN AVOIDED. Too bad no one ever listens to wise words from wise men and women.

How much longer could America live in this ignorance? I don't know but if Sarah Palin is basically the party's cheerleader for 2012... hell, I'll might as well vote for her. It's suppose to be the end of the world you know...

I love it how anti-Romney people still play the religion card. Mormons are the 4th largest religion in the USA. There are a lot of us. You mean to tell me that if Romney were a Baptist he would be more attractive to the Repub party as their candidate? That is just plain bigotry and wrong. Sheesh.

It's so clear that the Paul/Romney poll is the result of 'cheaters' on both sides - looks at the difference between vote totals on all the other choices. Dwarfed.

So the real question now is, does Romney use his own funds to pay people to continuously delete cookies and vote for him on these net polls?

At least the Paulsters work for free.

Actually to be fair...

I observed in the primaries that both Mitt Romney and Ron Paul had a purity to them that most politicians didn't. Romney was very knowledgable and sincere with his family beliefs. I honestly believed that he wanted to be the president to help the country, not gain personal power. I also believe that Paul was very dedicated to his country because he loved the constitution, and had sacrificed a lot for it in years of service. I believe that both men were good men, and most of their political followers simply want to do everything in their power to propel either of these two men into power to fix the mess that we are in (the result of years of decay to the powers of the constitution). Rather than getting mad at each other, why don't we see both crowds as dedicated brothers that want to save the constitution? Neither potential leader is the problem. The constitution would be far better in either or their hands compared to where we are at now.

I find that Ron Paul supporters aren't there because he's some charismatic, cult builder. His supporters can actually speak to issues regarding monetary policy, the weaknesses of Keynesian v. Monetarist v. Chicago v. Supply Side v. Austrian economic theory, have actually read and understand founding documents and their predecessors such as the US Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Federalist and Anti-Federalist arguments, Articles of Confederation, Magna Carta and various other writings of the founders (not just popular quotes), and actually understand the application of legislation in relation to the Constitution.

I find that most other 2008 Republican candidates' supporters can only offer personal opinion based on something they heard the talking head du jour say, but not actually be able to cite any other credible source as the basis for the formation of their opinions.

Ron Paul supporters understand the meaning of Liberty.

Ron Paul is a racist, why? Because some ghost writer happened to write some things under his name, that, to be politically incorrect, happened to be true? Dr. Paul took full moral responsibility for that. I expect that kind of fictionally-based rhetoric from the left, not someone who purports to be a conservative.

Now, for my fellow "Paultards", keep in mind that there are no religious tests to hold office, so if you're going to attack Romney, do so on his policies and not his faith. Attack something like "required" health insurance, continuing to use our armed forces to police the world instead of protecting our own borders from foreign invasion, or that, in the course of getting his MBA, Romney was probably not exposed to Austrian economic theory, human behavior associated with economics, nor the proper definition of free-markets, which includes the absence of central government economic planning which is what guarantees the business cycle.

The thing I like about Ron Paul, and I think this applies to most people who also support him, is that you can just tell he's not lying to you. It's extremely refreshing to not get double talk from a politician. The truth is very refreshing and addicting to hear. With Mitt Romney I get the feeling he's telling me what he thinks I want to hear. You can just sense that he's lying and he will lie to get what he wants.
