I've always loved the circus. If I wasn't going frequently with an uncle and my cousin Paul (his son) then I had another uncle who would take me or I would go with my parents. I remember taking my cousin Teresa's oldest son (Paul's nephew) when I was older with my parents to the same local circus that the Melha Shriners put on every year. Whenever I could I would go to the circus. There was a fair I frequented growing up that had a two ring circus and I would go to that one too. Any circus that would be in the area, like the Clyde Beatty, Cole Brothers or the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey, I would go to when I could. This is why when I went on a family trip when I was fifteen years old I really enjoyed "Circus World." I can still, twenty-nine, years later, somewhat picture what it looks like in my mind; it made that great an impression on me. it A few years later I had heard it was having financial difficulty because it just wasn't getting the visitors it desperately needed to stay open. When I had heard just recently that it was now officially closed for good I was saddened. It was probably the most unique theme park I had ever been to and I have been to quite a few of them in my time. It is sadly missed by me in a very big way.
