Why is it that the percentages are going down instead of up??? Just last week the pup I was voting for had 31% now it only has 29%. What is happening to the votes? It seems like the percentage should be going up not down!

It is showing the percentage of all votes cast. As more votes are cast for different dogs, the percentages will change.

aw@rmc is correct. None of the votes are discredited. But as more people vote, the percentages disperse accordingly. If you are worried if your vote did not get cast, check to see if the "Total Votes" has changed. Let me know if you have any further questions on this comment board, or you can contact us at info@fetchacure.com.

Thank you for your support.

We had our office vote today and the vote count has not gone up. Are we sure that all votes count? Is there a delay? The vote count has not changed, but has on other dogs.

We participated in a "mass vote" on Wednesday, the votes DID NOT show up for the right dog but each time showed up for another dog that we were NOT voting on ... the tally seemed to correspond directly to our input -- but the WRONG DOG received the votes !!!!!

I am contacting Twiggs' support to find out what the glitch might be.

cmt: was the "mass vote" for the same dog or for all different dogs on the same computer?

mis: there should not be a delay, and I am asking Twiggs about this as well. I am not sure what you mean that the vote count has changed, but the other dogs have. Do you mean the percentages have changed, but the number of votes has not?

I have been voting for the past week and have noticed that everytime I vote the total votes does not change. Please advise. Today it is at 2,688 and I just had 6 people vote for the same dog and the total has not changed.

Thanks!

I just had two more people vote and now it's changed to 2,689. I received an email from the Richmond SPCA stating that multiple votes were allowed. Is this not true?

We just had 20 votes for Precious and we noticed that the percentage of votes for Fetch is increasing rather than Precious. The wrong dog is receiving another's vote?

We have had a "push" on for Fetch the last day or so, so I am pleased to see that his total is going up. I surely hope that no pup is receiving votes intended for another. Thank you for a wonderful contest!

The total votes does not seem to change. Our office has done about 40 votes this morning and we have only seen the count increase by 1 vote. Are individuals allowed to vote more than once per day? And if so, is it one email address or once from a particular computer?

Posted on Jun 13, 2008 at 2:54 PM by tikisan:

According to Twiggs...you can only vote once on a computer unless you clear out your cookies and internet history. Each email address is received by Fetch a Cure if you go throught Fetchacure.com. If you vote only on this site, we don't have a record of each of those votes.

I can assure you that the votes are going to the right dog. I have checked several times to make sure this is right. Just remember that you may not be the only person voting at one time.

I hope this clears up things a bit more. If there are any specific questions about how to clear your cookies and history please feel free to email me at: tikisan@gmail.com.

Is "Fetch" using the Randolph- Macon alumni to vote rather than the "public" that actually has seen the dogs around town? Or are they just clearing their history and voting a million times? If so, kudos to the person with that much time on their hands.

Randolph-Macon has approximately 1100 students. I think students, faculty, and alumni have all been voting as well as the "public"

How can one Dog receive 2200 votes in one day? I think the voting system is flawed , and what does this have to do with the mastery and the artistic talent of the artist?

Posted on Jun 15, 2008 at 8:18 PM by rmc2011:

2 of Fetch's artists are RMC students. 2200 votes in one day is not all for one dog I don't think. I've been voting a lot today....Bird Dog has come out of nowhere today. Wishing we had been told before how to make multiple votes count instead of finding out at the last minute. GO RMC YELLOW JACKETS!

When does the voting end?

Posted on Jun 16, 2008 at 10:37 AM by ter:

It does seem odd that 2000 people would see a dog and all vote on the same day right before the voting stopped. How do that many people see all these beautiful dogs and make judgement all in one day? This shouldn't be about winning a contest, but about bringing awareness to the problems those facing canine cancer are having to deal with and support for those individuals.

Why did the voting open back up again? I checked the site while voting around 6pm tonight and it said closed! And I check back at 9:30 and it's reopened....

I hope that people will not forget what this is all about. It is about raising awareness for canine cancer. I also believe the best sculpture should win, not a dog that was just painted with a bunch of flowers. One would think that the voting is skewed if Fetch wins. What about Frogdog, Pampered Pooch, Hair of The Dog and Princess, all of which are true sculptures because they actually considered the space and surface in relationship to the dog they were working with? I, personally hope that Bird Dog does win. It shows the work of an intellegent artist who actually thought about the work. By the way, I think it is good that people can vote multiple times. This is probably not a flaw in the system, but a way to raise greater awareness for the actual cause.
